Some specific elements that we discuss in class that contribute to this being a good headline are
- The big number at the beginning of the headline (19) it class we talked about having the number in the headline can be powerful because it gives clear promise readers who click on this headline know how many facts they will get which makes the content digestible by adding the number 19 it makes the list very specific the number is not very common they could use a number like 20 but they headline as a number that is usually seen meaning it is uncommon and that will grab the eyes of readers.
- Second, the use of big positive words in class we talked about adding words that evoke emotion so words like ( fascinating, really cool and surprising) add an emotional layer to the headline, making it seems exciting to read by promising the reader if read this article I will find facts that are intriguing and unexpected.
- Another element that we discussed in class is curiosity-driven the phrase “ Kinda Blew My Mind” and the hint of personal connection from the writer and the writer their self had an unexpected and amazing reaction when finding out about the facts leading to more of our discussion is that humans are curious creature so they will want to them what are these facts that made even the writer found it mind-blowing.
- This next element is very important for the headline to know who its target audience is just by reading the headline you can see that it is targeted to people who are interested in celebrity culture and want to know more about what is happening in their daily lives by having the subject base on celebrity culture it will attract attention because the content is relevant and entertaining.
